Here we are near the close of another busy year and well into the Holiday Season. We reflect on all that we have accomplished during the past year, and think about what we might improve upon for the coming year.
Sometimes we need a little inspiration to gear up for the holidays, or as we say “get into the holiday spirit”!
My inspiration came in mid-November this year when I had the opportunity to visit Quebec City QC, to attend a 50th anniversary celebration of a customer of Wilsonart. We stayed in the beautiful and historic Chateau Frontenac, located in the Old Quebec section.
The Chateau Frontenac was beautifully decorated for Christmas, as was the rest of Old Quebec, in preparation for a Holiday Market that the city hosts at the end of November. With snow already on the ground and falling from the sky as we walked thru town, the holiday spirit was all around!
During December I had the pleasure of visiting Woodstock VT’s Wassail Weekend. So impressive, is the collective effort of the town to make it’s visitors to this event feel at home, so that they can take full advantage of all the activities that this weekend has to offer. A trip through the Woodstock Inn with all of it’s holiday adornments is sure to inspire anyone!
And who could drive pass Simon Pearce’s flagship store on the way home, without stopping in! We took in a glass blowing exhibition, and got to see how they make the beautiful Vermont tree collection.
My wish for everyone during the holiday season, is that you have time to relax and enjoy time with the people that mean the most to you. That you think of others that may be in need, and extend help if you are able. Let’s also think of our deployed military and first responders and be thankful for their service.
Whatever inspires you, get into the spirit, enjoy your friends and family, relax, and look forward to 2019!
